My belly dancing instructor asked all of us if we would dress up and "march" with her and another women from her troupe. Everyone said no, they didn't want to look silly. I just used the excuse that I had nothing to wear.
She rang me at work tonight, saying that she had some outfits that might fit and it'd be great to have me and Mim there, and her brother might be able to bring his pet python. So I had an "Ado Annie" (Oklahoma) moment and said yes.
I'd already made a blue veil/scarf for myself and a pink one for Mim. Should have made a burka instead! Wonder if I can be a "masked bellydancer"?
