Well, not a lot really. We are all winding down towards end of term and the long long drive to Brisbane.
It was great having Monday as a public holiday, the family was roped in to help replant some trees at the local pool. It was a very rainy day but didn't take long for the few fellas and their chainsaws to dispose of the paperbark trees. There was a convoy of utes and trailers to take away the branches and someone had a cool digging machine. We transplanted a few of the trees, to make room for the bbq. The kids helped out with watering the new plants. Afterwards, we all retired to the pub for a sausage sizzle, and the kids spent a few hours playing Barry (a computer game). I left them all there and went home for an hour to get rid of a head ache. When I returned, I heard the Mim had been a bit teary "I miss my mummy....... but a toke (Coke) will make me feel better!" (little scam artist!!)
the Ute convoy
Hard work is fascinating for kids.
Thursday, hmmmm, did numerous loads of washing, all of which had to go through the dryer. The day was a mixture of sunshine and showers, but got a beautiful shot of the full rainbow that went over the house.
Also got a shot of the lovely Grampians from Penshurst
The lambs have been officially weaned. No more giving them bottles morning or night. We managed to drive Cecily into the western paddock last weekend, so she has been bonding with her new "flock". They are now spending more time outside the immediate house yard, so we'll be letting them into the top paddock soon (would like them to eat all the clover around the house first). Poor Cecily, she'd follow them to hell and back - she is just soooo happy to have company.
Today, we went for a drive to Mt Gambier to do some shopping. Came home via the 'scenic route', which means we detoured from Casterton to Baghallah to Sandford and then through the back roads and Teletubby hills to home. Saw lots of lambs gambolling around. Apparently there has been a bumper crop of twins and triplets this year.
I have been very DG this week, making a creamy potato, cauliflower and bacon soup on Monday night, Moroccan carrot and sweet potato soup tonight, Arni Lemonta last night (and Michael asked for crepes and honey ice-cream for dessert, made from scratch). And a number of loaves of bread - the sour dough loaf makes great croutons!!
Mim has been entertaining us, as usual, with her Mimmerisms. She really enjoyed watching a movie at daycare that was obviously based on the fable of the grasshopper and the ants. "Mummy, I love the prickets (crickets) and the ants!!"
I can't for the life of me remember the other ones that she has come out with. I know, though, that barely a day goes by when I don't think "I'll have to blog that one!".

Love the photos of the rainbow Shaz!
Even more, the DG-essing going on at your place puts me to shame!
It's soooo easy to DG when the only takeaway joint in town is pub (or Greeds, which can muster up greasy hamburger and chips) and places like KFC and Maccas are half an hour drive away.
Michael wanted me to click my heels three times (with Gomez tucked under my arm) and say "We're not in Kansas anymore, Gomez"
